UCB Signs MOU with ESTE Medical Bangladesh for Exclusive Cardholder Discounts

Dhaka, August 25, 2025 – United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) has entered into a strategic partnership with ESTE Medical Bangladesh Ltd. and ESTE Aesthetic Hospital Ltd., two leading providers of aesthetic, dermatological, and cosmetic healthcare services in Bangladesh. The collaboration aims to offer exclusive benefits for UCB cardholders while promoting both organizations’ services through joint marketing efforts.

A Partnership for Mutual Growth

UCB, one of Bangladesh’s top commercial banks, continues to provide innovative financial solutions through its wide range of debit, credit, and prepaid card products. ESTE Medical and ESTE Aesthetic Hospital, renowned for their world-class skincare, cosmetic, and aesthetic treatments, are joining forces with UCB to enhance customer value through this collaboration.

The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed at UCB’s corporate office in Gulshan, Dhaka.

Special Offers for UCB Cardholders

As part of this agreement, all UCB Visa and MasterCard cardholders—including debit, credit, and prepaid cards—can enjoy the following discounts at ESTE Medical Bangladesh and ESTE Aesthetic Hospital:

• 25% off on all device-based services

• 15% off on ophthalmology services

• 10% off on aesthetic surgeries

• 50% off on dental consultancy fees

• 20% off on other dental services

To avail these discounts, customers must pay using their UCB cards via POS terminals and present their cards as proof of identity.

Joint Promotional Activities

UCB will promote these special offers to its customers through joint marketing campaigns, conducted at least twice during the agreement period. Both parties will share responsibilities and costs for promotional activities, subject to prior mutual approval.

The agreement also allows for joint branding and merchandising initiatives, with necessary approvals from both sides.

Terms and Duration

This MOU is effective from August 25, 2025, for an initial period of one year. It will automatically renew each year unless terminated by either party with a 30-day written notice.

Both organizations reserve the right to enter into similar agreements with other parties without restriction, ensuring flexibility in their business growth strategies.

Commitment to Quality and Confidentiality

UCB clarified that it holds no responsibility for the services or treatments provided by ESTE Medical or its affiliates. However, both parties have agreed to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all shared information throughout and even after the duration of this MOU.

Dispute Resolution and Legal Compliance

Any disputes will first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved within 30 days, the matter will proceed to arbitration as per Bangladesh’s Arbitration Act, 2001.
